Within my role at HMRC Telephony Advisor I would regularly be taking 5 to 15 calls per hours so used to dealing with high volume of calls. I also had to deal with enquiries from start to finish and had to make sure customer service was at the heart of the call but make sure the debt is paid or pass it on for enforcement. I had to listen diligently to my caller to get precious information to deal with the call and also spot any potential fraud. During my last 2 years I have been training new recruits and managing them to make sure they got the training required.
